Makes setting up a core server a breeze. Suggestion: Add "Select All" to the windows updates window.

This tools is an absolute LIFE SAVER when it comes to Windows Core! Been using it for a year or so now on 14 Hyper-V servers and I couldn't imagine working on them without it.

I was a very early adopter of CC and the updates in 2 are great. One thing I hope you add is the ability to change the binding order (necessary for proper Hyper-v setup) of NICS. Thanks ~M

simple UI done in the spirit of core, lightweight, uses powershell, Tell DBA's about out now that SQL Server will run on core (Deanli and up)

Great tool for those who are intimidated with the command line. Makes server core configuration a snap

Good. Please put the Virtual Machine setup text (which I pasted below) in the HOME page itself. Make this discoverable in the home page itself. You will find more users downloadding it. VIRTUAL MACHINE Please download the ISO image if you wanted to run on a virtual machine.

Congratulations on a great utility. It is interesting that it has taken me this long to find this utility as I have been struggling with the configuration of Server Core and Hyper-V Server until I did a search on how to set the proxy settings. As some one commented, it should be part of the out of box experience. Come on Microsoft, I think there is a message in all of this!

This tool along with SCONFIG make configuring Server Core drop dead simple. I was hesitant about switching from the GUI to CORE, but not anymore (no pun intended).

What a wonderful tool for the Server Core! I believe a good installation tutorial would do though. Perhaps even a little 1,2,3 installation help.
by billryan1111 on Feb 5, 2011 at 10:32 PM
Excellent tool, especially for those who are uncomfortable using the command line. Unleashes the power of Server Core. However, some documentation or enhanced installation instructions might be helpful to those unacustomed to using Icacls.exe and Powershell.

Very nice bit of work - ideal for Hyper-V Server when you find the bare shell is just a bit *too* minimalist for basic setup/housekeeping tasks ;)

Wonderful tool for intial configuration of Server Core. This should be part of the out of the box experience with Server Core (or at least a question at the start of Windows setup).

The only thing that I've found so far is in regards to the Windows Update portion. I'm pointing the server to the public Windows Update site, and it appears I can't install all (or even multiple) updates and reboot once. I've had to go through the process of installing one update, reboot, and then install the next.

Excellent work! It's nice to have this tool available for those of us who can't remember any command line work besides netsh. I've included it with my server core base image.

I'm assuming this is a really good tool however it does not work on Windows 2008 Server Core x86
by shamunda on Mar 12, 2010 at 9:06 PM
Very nice!
